Hi everyone, I am compelled to put this post out as a guideline to underage participants in B.R.R. activities. The basic rules are that if you are 13 or older, but under 18, you can go to the events as long as you are wearing full face protection. This is the rule of the field and I not only agree with it, but I also wear full face protection myself as a precaution and advise all to do the same. Here is where it gets a bit sticky though. We are going accross state lines to a lot of our events and if children between the ages of 16 and 18 have a signed parental consent, I have no problem bringing one or two along. If the children are between 13 and 15, I ask that a parent or chaparone be present for every 2 children in that range. It is not that I don't like having kids along, to the contrary, the kids running around shooting makes this all that much more fun, but in my experience children under the age of 15 tend to need guidence that I am unable to offer when organizing and managing the event in question. I hope this is self explanatory and acceptable to all participants and I hope to see everyone out having a great time! See you out there!
